VIDEO: Toilography visits the Oculus Pavilion
Posted: March 28, 2021 Filed under: Broken Toilets, Canadian Toilets, Graffiti, Outdoors, Toronto, ON Leave a commentToilet hunting has come to a stall (pun intended) over the past year so I cherish the moments I stumble upon outdoor beauties like this. This was found at the Oculus Pavilion, while on a bike ride along Toronto’s Humber Trail.

Abandoned Longbranch Motel
Posted: May 18, 2019 Filed under: Abandoned Toilets, Broken Toilets, Canadian Toilets, Dirty Toilets, Sudbury, ON 1 CommentI was driving along Highway 69 to Sudbury, Ontario and happened to notice a creepy abandoned motel just north of a tiny settlement called Still River. I couldn’t help but pull in to check it out and I’m so glad I did. What a place this was! I’m always down to explore derelict buildings; throw some abandoned toilets into the mix and I’m in heaven. Here’s a literal suite of the most disgustingly dilapidated shitters I’ve seen in my life.
According to the Ontario Abandoned website, this is the Longbranch Motel and has remained abandoned by side of the highway since the early 2000’s.
Abandoned toilets at Castle Hill
Posted: April 20, 2019 Filed under: Australian Toilets, Broken Toilets, Outdoors, Regional Queensland Leave a commentLate at night my brother and I paid a visit to a side of Townsville’s Castle Hill that neither of us had been to before. Instead of heading up the usual Castle Hill Road, we ventured to a little-known entrance in Garbutt and had fun exploring some old abandoned, graffiti-clad rooms close to an old disused quarry, dotted around the hill’s southern incline.
I was amused to come across what must have once been a block of toilets, who knows how many decades ago. All that remains today were a couple of footprints of where the crappers used to be, and some piping which appeared to have some toilet paper stuffed inside.
Here’s one of the other abandoned rooms I was talking about, covered in local tags:
Chinese construction site
Posted: April 8, 2019 Filed under: Broken Toilets, Chinese Toilets, Dirty Toilets, Outdoors Leave a commentJust down the street from the hostel I stayed at on Shanghai’s Yunnan South Road was this construction site, complete with toilet at the canvassed entry. I’m pretty sure it was only used as a garbage bin and not as an actual toilet.

Two toilet graveyards in one day
Posted: July 23, 2017 Filed under: Abandoned Toilets, Broken Toilets, Canadian Toilets, Outdoors, Toronto, ON Leave a commentIt’s been a great weekend for #abandonedthrones.
First were these three loos just around the corner from home, sitting in a heap with toilet-shaped styrofoam from the boxes of their shiny new replacements:
Then I saw another three-toilet graveyard at the side of the road, close to Mt Pleasant & Lawrence. RIP little guys ⚰️🚽
Abandoned on St Mary St
Posted: April 28, 2017 Filed under: Abandoned Toilets, Broken Toilets, Canadian Toilets, Outdoors, Toronto, ON Leave a commentThe first I’ve seen of hopefully many #abandonedthrones this season in Toronto, this guy was left for dead in the St Mary Street gutter. And in case you suffer withdrawals until I discover my next dumped dunny you should go follow @abandoned_thrones!

Toilet graveyard at High Park
Posted: September 13, 2016 Filed under: Abandoned Toilets, Broken Toilets, Canadian Toilets, Outdoors, Toronto, ON Leave a commentThanks to my friend Sam for the tipoff about these poor #abandonedthrones near High Park! I got up early this morning just to go pay my respects. Apparently every toilet in this apartment building is being replaced. What could be so bad about EVERY DAMN LOO that warrants such a toilet graveyard? 😳
