Newnes: a ghost town

Not much remains today aside from the ruins of the oil refinery which was abandoned nearly a century ago. The hotel still stands (although it hasn’t held a liquor license since the 80’s), plus there a few holiday cabins and a camping ground. It’s a true country NSW ghost town.
